But now it seems she has found the perfect person and brand to make her dreams come true.

On her new Instagram story on October 11, Leanna Lenee uploaded a post in which she took a mirror selfie with Justin Alexander Warshaw, the creator of the designer brand Justin Alexander. She tagged both Warshaw and the brand and captioned it: “We just designed TWO of my dream wedding dresses. I’m so excited to see them come to life.”

Justin Warshaw is a renowned designer who specializes in bridal fashion by embracing the uniqueness and differences of his clients. One of the biggest projects of his brand is the 2022 “Be yourself!campaign that not only highlighted its creative designs but also captured the hearts of brides-to-be with its diverse collection for different body types, skin tones, personalities and more.

Leanna and Travis Hunter got engaged back in February, but the date of their wedding was first revealed by Leanna in a cryptic post. On July 21, she posted a photo of her and her fiancé on her IG with the caption, ““Therefore what God has joined together, let no one put asunder” – Mark 10:9 🤍 #308 days.Well, this post also hinted that the couple will officially tie the knot at the end of May next year. In any case, their wedding will be an elaborate one, and it is even picked out who the important people at their wedding will be. This unity makes them a truly loving and respectable couple. On Brat, Charli xcx’s sixth zeitgeist-lasso album, brooded over her chronically underestimated status. In the sickly sweet, deconstructed British garage of Rewind, she worried about her lack of presence on the Billboard charts because she wasn’t sure “whether I think I deserve commercial success.” During the whimsical synth-pop of Sympathy Is a Knife, she found herself under the pitying gaze of a megastar peer. On electro-dirge I Might Say Something Stupid she described herself as “famous but not quite”.

The pain and ecstasy of the sub-mainstream pop star turned out to be an incredibly rich seam. Brat blended Charli’s cult sound – a harsh and overly artificial form of dance-pop – and paired it with lyrics that ricocheted between euphoric swagger and dazzlingly candid vulnerability. In fact, it was so rich that the concept was self-defeating. Brat, which hit No. 3 on the US chart upon its release in June, became a bona fide commercial hit and a cultural juggernaut – thanks in part to an ingeniously meme-friendly marketing campaign (its breakthrough is best exemplified by the Kamala Harris campaign co-opting the artwork ). It elevated the 32-year-old into the celebrity firmament and, more importantly, shifted the Overton window of pop into a more futuristic, experimental space.

Riding this wave of publicity and adoration, Charli has somehow found time to capitalize on it with a remix album, named with the same wryly underplayed sensibility that defined Brat’s lyrics. Brat And It’s Completely Different But Also Still Brat is not just a slightly hyped-up version of the original album; According to the title, many songs have undergone a complete overhaul. It’s even more exciting than Brat 1.0 – not because it’s an objective improvement (though it’s often more subtle and refined and sometimes more satisfyingly brutal) – but because it offers undeniable evidence that Charli and her collaborators, including especially producer AG Cook, are in their imperial phase: ideas come out of their ears, and they’re all good ones.

The creative peaks of this career high come thick and fast. A new version of Club Classics cannibalizes two other songs – 365 and B2B – while ruining Charli’s vocals and sounding like a faulty computer program in a throwback to the early release of Cook’s cult label PC Music. Yung Lean and Robyn bring eccentric braggadocio to 360. Caroline Polachek transforms Everything Is Romantic into exquisitely atmospheric, streetlamp-lit electronica via mumbled speech about dreary London humdrum. And Lorde brings a thrillingly meta, body image-based candor to Girl, So Confusing (a song that originally depicted her as a potential enemy).

Big guests – Bon Iver gilds I Think About It All the Time with a glitchy soul; Julian Casablancas provides Mean Girls with throwback indie sleaze – messing with Charli’s signature sound in a way that’s sometimes jarring but always interesting. Yet the real appeal remains the interplay between unusual, flamboyant synthetic electro-pop and Charli’s funny soul attitude.

She hasn’t stopped: In an unexpectedly ballsy move, Charli is now spitting over her steep climb. B2B ditches the fast, squelching bassline to make room for a stream-of-consciousness monologue about her new life (she’s “damn tired,” which could mean, “Oh shit, I kind of made it”), and Sympathy Is a Knife laments the downsides of wild success: friends saying you’ve changed, people eagerly awaiting your downfall. As a musician (and as a person), Charli doesn’t exactly radiate warmth, but her arrogance is always tempered by a very recognizable self-loathing – a nuance that Ariana Grande’s contribution to Sympathy Is a Knife spectacularly ignores: “It’s a knife when you are so beautiful that they think it is fake”. On Rewind, now rebooted as a nostalgia trip to the pre-Brat days, Charli laments the ugly, hollow impulses that stardom encourages: “I wanna see my face all in the press / If I don’t, sometimes I get a little depressed.”

In a way, this is a victory lap: Charli is a self-proclaimed party girl, and judging by the guest list (other collaborators include Billie Eilish, Troye Sivan, and the 1975), this extremely fun and cool collection is the hottest ticket of the year. In another film, however, it’s a look into the dark hearts of celebrities. It’s a known fact that making your dreams come true isn’t all it’s cracked up to be – but for the sake of the advancement of pop music, it’s a good thing Charli xcx was given the chance to find out for herself.
