He was born to Sylverster Einspahr and Edna Denker in Imperial Nebraska. He spent his formative years in Imperial. He had 2 brothers Dale Einspahr Arvada Colorado and Ron Einspahr Brookings South Dakota and 2 sisters Evonne Kraeess Lynn Central Illinois and Diane Haarmeyr George Town Texas. He graduated from Nebraska University in Lincoln Nebraska. He moved to Ogden, Utah and got a job at White Motors. He then went to work for the post office. He married Joan Des Roches in November 1961. They were blessed with 2 sons, Jeff Einspahr and Dean Einspahr. Darrel and his friend Bob built titanium golf clubs to special orders. He had a great love for golf and won the PGA (Postal Golf Association). He was a golf professional at Round Valley Golf Course in Morgan, Utah. It was just starting out and he planted every tree on the course. He played in many tournaments. He had 2 grandsons Joshua and Brandon Einspahr, and several nieces and nephews. They later divorced and he married Linda Hansen. She had 2 sons Chad and Blair and a granddaughter Addie Hansen.

He retired from the Post Office and worked at Ben Lomond Golf Course before his retirement. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, his brother Ron, his son Dean Einspahr, his nephew Rusty Einspahr, his wife Linda. No service.
