Jackson-Madison County Library presents ‘Books and Brews’

JACKSON, Tenn. — “Books and Brews” was held Friday night at Hub City Brewing.

Books and Brews is a summer reading program hosted by the Jackson-Madison County Library. This year’s theme is adventure.

Library staff have put together a combination menu of some drinks from Hub City Brewing and paired them with some books from the library.

The combinations are based on features such as general aesthetics and title.

Shayne Plunk, adult services manager at the Jackson-Madison County Library, gives us an example of how the combinations work.

“The strong silent type, one of the concoctions here, we’ve paired with a book called The Bronze Horseman, which one of our staff at the northern branch said is a love story with a strong silent romantic interest,” Plunk said.

The library has many programs for every type of book lover. For more information, click here.
