Princess Anne, the Princess Royal, has again come forward to support the monarchy as she slowly recovers from her ‘incident’ with horses last month.

The Princess was in Worcestershire, where she opened the new Accident and Emergency department at Worcestershire Royal Hospital and visited Kildare Hall.

The Princess Royal has opened the new Emergency Department at Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust serves a population of over 500,000 people in Worcestershire and beyond, providing a comprehensive range of healthcare services to the community.

During the visit, she was given a tour of the new facilities, including a children’s emergency department, waiting areas, a rapid assessment and treatment unit and a mental health unit.

The Princess also had the opportunity to meet the dedicated staff of the Emergency Department.

To mark the event, Princess Anne unveiled a plaque marking the official opening of the new department.

Later, the Princess Royal opened Kildare Hall, a new building on The Showground in Malvern, Worcestershire, as patron of the Three Counties Agricultural Society.

Before her injury and because King Charles and Kate Middleton withdrew from royal duties for the first four months of the year, Princess Anne, 73, carried out 172 royal duties in support of the monarchy.
