J&K: Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi to visit Valley today to assess security situation

Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi will arrive in Jammu at 2 pm today to assess the security situation amid increased terrorist attacks. In response, the army has come up with a new strategy, adjusting its deployment in the region. Defence sources said around 500 Para Special Forces commandos have been deployed, with an estimated 50-55 terrorists in the area.

The search operations are facing significant challenges due to weather conditions, including cloudy skies and foggy mountainous areas, which are complicating the army’s efforts. Despite these difficulties, the army remains determined, with soldiers actively targeting terrorists and confident that the insurgents will soon be driven out of the area.
