GMC, VM Salgaocar College Champions – Goemkarponn

PANAJI: GMC, Bambolim and VM Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar champions at the Goa University Inter Collegiate Table Tennis Championships 2024-25.
The inaugural Goa University Inter Collegiate Table Tennis Championship 2024-25 for Men and Women will be held at the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium, Goa University Campus, Taleigao-Goa from 16th to 18th July 2024.
VM Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar won the title in the women’s category and Goa Medical College, Bambolim won the title in the men’s category.
In the women’s final, VM Salgaocar College of Law defeated Miramar Goa Medical College 3-1.
Abigail Cunha defeated Simran Kanekar 11-6,11-6,11-8; Khushi Naik defeated Sachi Kerkar 10-12, 6-11, 3-11; Arya Nadkarni defeated Ravisha Kudchadkar 11-13,6-11, 11-13; Khushi Naik defeated Abigail Cunha 3-11, 8-11, 5-11.
In the men’s final, Goa Medical College, Bambolim defeated VM Salgaocar College of Law 3-2.
Karthik Iyer defeated Amogh Bawachikar 11-6, 11-6, 11-2; Swayam Chodankar defeated Aadvik Panandikar 11-7,12-14, 7-11,11-5, 5-11; Darin Fernandes defeated Sarthak Shetgaonkar 11-3, 11-6, 11-5; Swayam Chodankar defeated Karthik Iyer 14-12, 11-6, 8-11, 8-11, 8-11; Aadvik Panandikar defeated Amogh Bawachikar 12-10, 11-8, 11-7.
The award for best player in the men’s category went to Swayam Chodankar of the VM Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar.
The Best Female Player award went to Ms. Khushi Naik of VM Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar.
A total of 37 men’s and 23 women’s teams participated in the three-day Inter College Table Tennis Championship 24-25.
The following dignitaries were present and presented medals and trophies to the winners and runners-up during the awards ceremony:

Salgaocar Faculty of Law; Guest of Honour: Deepak Chodankar, Member, Goa Table Tennis Association (South Goa); and Chief Umpire along with Balachandra B. Jadar, Deputy Director of Physical Education and Sports, University of Goa.

Goa Medical College men’s team: Kartik Iyer, Darin Fernandes, Aadvik Panandikar, Raman Prabhudessai and Rajnish Singh.
VM Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar men’s team: Swayam Chodankar, Sarthak Shetgaonkar, Amogh Bawachikar, Roland Braganza and Siddhant Karpe.
