Jessie J Reveals She’s Been Diagnosed With ADHD And OCD –

Singer Jessie J has revealed that she has been diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD).

The 36-year-old Price tag singer said in an Instagram post that she was diagnosed about three months ago, after giving birth to her first son, making the conditions even more apparent.

She described her ADHD as a “superpower” that has made her “rethink her whole life,” including the way she functions.

“It has given me strength, but also overwhelmed me at times,” said the singer, whose real name is Jessica Cornish.

“If there’s one thing social media has given me, it’s the opportunity to connect, connect and heal with strangers who have good hearts and are going through the same thing.

“It made me love myself even more. I embrace the 11-year-old me.”

According to the NHS website, ADHD is a condition that affects people’s behaviour and can make people seem restless or impulsive.

According to the health service, OCD is a mental health condition in which a person experiences obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors that can disrupt his or her life.

The East London-born singer described some of her compulsive behaviours, saying that as a child she would clean her trainers with a toothbrush when she was stressed and that she would always make lists to “not feel like life is falling apart”.

She reached out to others with ADHD and OCD, adding, “I know there are so many people going through the same thing and I want to hold your hand because I need to hold your hand too.

“So that you get to know yourself even better in life. And that you love yourself all the way.”

Cornish gave birth to her son, Sky Safir Cornish Colman, last year after previously speaking openly about her fertility issues and to have a miscarriage.
