Christmas fundraiser in July hopes to create Christmas spirit

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WPDE) — Christmas comes early this year.

On Wednesday, July 24, the Grand Dunes will host a charity event for Santa’s Village Bike in a Box program.

Santa Claus himself plans to visit the fundraiser.

There will be raffle prizes, an auction, live music, hula dancers, vendors and an ugly Hawaiian shirt contest.

Crazy Mason will be there to add to the atmosphere of a wintery Christmas with their ice cream truck.

The event is free and open to the public.

There will also be a trailer to collect bicycles and other Christmas gifts that will go to children in need before Christmas.

The Christmas in July fundraiser runs from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
