Former comic book and classic Mortal Kombat fighter returns to the franchise in unique way

Last year, NetherRealm Studios released Mortal Kombat 1, resetting the entire story from the beginning with a new origin. Now, the studio is bringing back a character who previously appeared in the game via a previous collaboration.

Spawn will return to the franchise, but not in the main game; instead, he will be a playable character in the mobile version. Todd McFarlane created a comic book that first introduced this character with infernal powers. He became extremely popular in the 90s, becoming a cult character with some of the most impressive action figures on the market.
