NSBIA’s Ninth Annual Overlanders Day Scheduled for Sunday – Kamloops News

The ninth annual Overlanders Day takes place in Brocklehurst Park on Sunday.

The North Shore Business Improvement Association (NSBIA) launched the summer family festival in 2013 with numerous attractions for all ages.

This year there will be entertainment all day long, with headliners including LooPS, Aditi Gupta Zumba, Jerry De Souza, Aaron Lynn and September Chardonnay.

“It’s a great event that combines both business and community,” Patti Phillips, NSBIA’s marketing director, told Castanet Kamloops.

There will be a business and community expo with over 90 vendors on site, over 10 food stalls and a large children’s area with bouncy castles, children’s stalls, face painting and craft supplies.

There will also be an animal corner with all kinds of animal vendors, a cake eating contest for children and adults with medals to be won, a dachshund dog race, a plunge pool and a fire truck on display.

There will also be plenty of mascots at this year’s event, including Digger, Stormy, Homer, Surplus Herby’s, Mr. Red Tomato Pies, Sparky, Safety Bear, Mr Slice, Anonymoose and Sancho the Clown.

Two NSBIA tents also feature games including basketball, a putting green, a giant Jenga tent and prizes to be won on a wheel of fortune.

The event starts at 10am and runs until 3pm at Brocklehurst Park, 2470 Fleetwood Ave.
