We’re gonna lose

We’re gonna lose

I’m not a big name on this site so you may not know me, but I’ve been saying for months that we’re going to win.

I don’t think that way anymore; I think we’re going under because the “party elite” decided to dump the only candidate who could beat Rump.

Were you concerned about President Biden’s age before the NYT started harping on about it?

Were you concerned about his mental health before the media picked up on his performance at the debate, tore it apart, chopped it up, cast doubt on his fitness for office, and then speculated endlessly?

The anger should have subsided weeks ago, but has only grown, amplified and echoed by anecdotal “evidence” of cowardly Democrats who seem to have forgotten where their backbone lies.

Meanwhile, Rump hisses and mumbles, loses the thread of his thoughts, babbles, threatens violence, makes nonsensical statements, wobbles like a top, but is never, ever criticized. He is never forced to undergo the same ruthless scrutiny that the president is subjected to. He is the worst of the worst, but his followers do not turn against him.

We are as guilty as the media: We criticize President Biden while forcing him to pass our usual litmus test: “He has to be Jesus Christ walking on water or I won’t vote for him.” We know he’s 81, the Times reminds us of it every hour, and we know he stutters. But we’ve turned his lifelong condition and his normal age-related gaffes into a diagnosis of mental deficiency so severe that it renders him incapable of performing his duties.

We’re playing right into the hands of the pro-Trump media, and we don’t even see it ourselves.

I can only imagine how devastated President Biden must be right now. He gave some fantastic speeches after the debate, but his performance is completely lost in the non-stop fuss of those 90 minutes.

He served his country for 50 years, stood strong in the face of devastating personal loss, and was the best president in 75 years. But somehow that’s not good enough.

We could have stopped fascism, but now we will have to pay the price for our cowardice.
