Harihar, July 21: On July 20, a group of enthusiastic students from classes 5 and 6 embarked on a meaningful journey to the Sudhama Ashram, run by the Missionaries of Charity sisters (better known as the Mother Teresa sisters).

This visit was aimed at inculcating values ​​of compassion, empathy and selflessness in the young minds. While interacting with the elderly and marginalized needy, the children had a profound experience that will stay with them forever.

Observations and interactions:

Upon arrival, the students were warmly welcomed by the Charity Sisters and the residents of the Ashram. They were introduced to the daily lives of the elderly and the needy, who shared their stories and struggles. The children listened attentively and showed genuine interest and concern.

The students took part in various activities, such as:

– Participate in recreational activities such as skits, singing, dancing and playing games with the elderly.

Impact and reflection:

As the children interacted with the residents, they began to understand the importance of loving and respecting the elderly. They witnessed the challenges faced by those in need and recognized the value of caring for others. This experience fostered a sense of empathy and compassion in them.

The students reflected on their visit and shared their thoughts and feelings:

– “I learned that everyone deserves love and respect, regardless of age or background.”
– “I realize how lucky I am to have a family and a home, and I want to help those who don’t.”
– “I saw how happy the residents were when we spent time with them, and that made me happy too!”
-“I realized that I had to take care of my loving parents when they were old.”

Conclusion:

The visit to Sudama Ashram was a transformative experience for the students of classes V and VI. They returned with their hearts full of love and care, with valuable lessons and memories. The experience taught them the importance of:
