Nominate a deserving community member for the King Charles III Coronation Medal

PRESS RELEASE

Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MP Alex Ruff issued the following statement regarding the process for nominating deserving Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound residents for the King’s Coronation Medal:

In honour of the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III as King of Canada, the Canadian government has minted 30,000 Coronation Medals. It is the first Canadian commemorative medal to commemorate His Majesty’s coronation. The government has awarded 20 medals to each Member of Parliament (MP) to recognise deserving Canadians.

MP Ruff will accept nominations for residents of Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound who have made a significant contribution to Canada or to a particular province, territory, region or community within Canada, or who have made an outstanding achievement abroad that brings credit to Canada.

Candidates may only receive one Coronation Medal. This medal may also be awarded posthumously, as long as the recipient was still alive on 6 May 2023, the date of The King’s coronation.

“I look forward to recognising 20 very deserving voters who have made a difference in Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound with the special Coronation Medal.”

Voters from Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound can be nominated by completing the form at: https://www.alexruffmp.ca/coronationmedal or by delivering a completed form by post or to the office.

Submissions will be accepted until September 2, 2024.
