Ryan and Rory release highly anticipated new self-titled debut EP

SiriusXM The Highway’s latest ‘Highway Find,’ Ryan and Rory, have just released their highly anticipated self-titled debut EP. Following in the footsteps of previous Highway Finds’ like Luke Combs, Gabby Barrett, and Parker McCollum, Ryan and Rory’s debut EP features their lively party anthem ‘Pour Decisions,’ a track that has already garnered significant buzz.

Country Now praised ‘Pour Decisions’ as a “catchy, post-heartbreak summertime anthem,” while Country Swag highlighted the duo as “an act to pay attention to” with a “prime summer-ready song.” MusicRow also noted that “Ryan and Rory are set to make major waves on the country music scene.”

Both artists have deep musical roots. Ryan Follesé, a Nashville native, is a 2X PLATINUM #1 hit singer-songwriter and American Music Award winner. Rory John Zak, hailing from Raleigh, North Carolina, is a multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter who has played over 300 shows a year since he was 17.

“We are so excited for everyone to hear these songs,” says Rory. “Each one was inspired by real-life people and situations we’ve experienced over the last few years. The songs speak to the lives we live, and we hope that they do the same for everyone who loves country music like we do.”

Ryan adds, “We see this first batch of songs as our musical mission statement. Great country songs are what we are about, and we couldn’t be prouder to start our journey with these six. They are for true country music fans – the greatest fans in the world.”

The EP kickstarts with the vivacious ‘Pour Decisions’ and continues with tracks that showcase the duo’s dynamic range. ‘Drunk and Lonely’ features dirt-floor dancehall vibes and Rory’s honky-tonk piano, while ‘This Town’ celebrates small-town dreams and freedom. ‘State I’m In’ tells a rockin’ tale of regret, and ballads like ‘Cowboy Cry’ and ‘Thanks Mama’ add depth and emotion to the collection.

Ryan co-wrote all six tracks on the debut, including five with his hitmaker family, while Rory contributed masterful instrumentals and smooth harmonies. The EP was produced by Kevin Bard and Nick Zinnanti, with the track ‘Thanks Mama’ produced by Dann Huff.
