The fair set two records in a row and started in 2024. There were large numbers of visitors on both the opening day (138,875 people) and the first Friday (171,233 people).

On Wednesday 28 August a new record was set, with 145,531 visitors, breaking the 2018 record of 144,940.

On August 26, the state fair had its lowest number of visitors on a Monday and first Sunday since the 1980s, likely due to a combination of extreme heat and threatening storms. It recovered somewhat on Tuesday, but the number of visitors was still lower than in 2023.

Turnout was also noticeably low on Thursday, August 30, as many people sought shelter due to heavy storms.
