Ja’Marr Chase stands on the field for pre-game warm-ups

He doesn’t have the contract he wanted. Is he going to play?

That question still remains unanswered. However, Bengals receiver Ja’Marr Chase is on the field in Cincinnati for pregame warmups. NFL Network’s Bridget Condon has placed the photographic evidence.

He is officially listed as questionable. Initially, he was not injured. On Saturday, the Bengals added “illness” to the designation.

Chase’s position on Friday was that the ball was in the team’s court. The team believed that Chase would accept the team’s best offer on Saturday and move on.

We don’t know the details of the team’s offer, but a source with general knowledge (but possibly no specific evidence) of the team’s position suggested the Bengals would be willing to match Justin Jefferson’s $35 million-per-year average.

There is still a chance that the two sides will reach an agreement in principle before kick-off. And if that doesn’t happen, will Chase play? We’ll see.
