Rome Odunze gets an MRI of his knee

Bears rookie wide receiver Rome Odunze played his first regular-season game on Sunday and will undergo his first MRI of the regular season on Monday.

Head coach Matt Eberflus told reporters at his press conference on Monday that scans are being taken of the player’s knee in the first round.

Odunze caught one pass for 11 yards in Sunday’s win over the Titans, playing 43 of the team’s 56 offensive snaps. Eberflus said it’s unclear when the injury occurred, since Odunze played until the end of the game, but whatever issue he reported was serious enough to send him for testing.

The Bears play next Sunday night at Houston and we’ll know later this week whether Odunze will miss the game.
