James Earl Jones, unmistakable screen personality who voiced Darth Vader, dies at 93

James Earl Jones, one of the greatest actors of his generation, whose uniquely resonant and authoritative bass-baritone voice was the cornerstone of his unmistakable screen presence, died Monday morning in New York. He was 93.

Jones’ representatives at Independent Artist Group confirmed his death, at his Dutchess County home, to Deadline. A cause was not immediately shared.
